SPK was founded in Sept. 1987 by Mr. Bor Chung Chang. Prior to SPK, Chairman B. C. Chang was one of the founders and the board director of QUARTEK Technology Co., Ltd., then the largest manufacturer of Quartz Crystals in Taiwan. SPK Chairman B. C. Chang is still a director of QUARTECH.
QUARTEK was established in 1976 and renamed QUARTECH Electronics after company re-organization in 1987. The staff of SPK mostly came from business and engineering department of QUARTEK Technology Co., Ltd,. Most employees have at least 10 years of sales experience.
SPK Electronic Co., Ltd., is an industry veteran with 30 year experience in manufacturing its own electronic components. We are also the sales channel of Seiko Epson & Epson Toyocom. In 2003, SPK was selected by Sarantel Inc (UK) as the only Distributor in Taiwan, China/Hong Kong to represent Sarantel's world-reknown and patented, GPS Geohelix Antenna. Electrolytic Capacitors in Taiwan territory.

- In June 1992, SPK finalized negotiation with AOI Corp.
on the sales of condenser microphones in the Taiwan territory.
- In June 1993, SPK's management reached final agreement
to set up an office in Nanjing, China and make the office an exhibition center
for the company's products. The office began normal operation in Dec. 1993.
- In June 1994, SPK was again awarded by Board of Foreign
Trade as Importer and Exporter of the year for 1993.
- In June 1996, SPK was recognized in Board of Foreign
Trade's industrial revered publication, "Directory Of Excellent Taiwan
Exporters And Importers."
- In Oct.1997 SPK purchased its new office, almost,
662m2 and located conveniently at the center of Taipei city. The company relocated

**What's special about Sarantel's PowerHelix? Filtering Antenna Technology?
Sarantel antennas don't detune when near people or objects.
Sarantel antennas combine form (loop topology), materials (high dielectric ceramic), and structure (balance) to very tightly constrain the antenna's near field. As a result, the antenna is highly tolerant to the close proximity of people, other components and other antennas. System designers like these features as the antenna is not easily detuned, yielding a predictable, repeatable and reliable response in all application circumstances.
**Sarantel antennas are easy to embed.
Because they're balanced and don't interact with other components, Sarantel antennas are the easiest antennas to embed in a device. Conventional antennas use the entire device to create their actual electrical resonating size; as a result, small changes to the device mean large changes to the antenna.
